Training in Lymington
Throughout the year there is regular training for Gold and Silver Fleeters in Lymington (apart from a few weeks during the depths of
winter when we take a break). The Bronze Fleet only trains during the Salterns Sailing Club season.

Kiting down wind
The Gold and Silver Fleet organise training on the river on most Sundays but sailors should note that there is not always training on Squad weekends or
during National or other large regattas. The sessions are usually from 9.30am until lunchtime but ocassionally all-day sessions are
organised. The training follows the IOCA training syllabus but each session will depend on the prevailing wind and weather conditions
as well as the available on-the-water-support. Sessions will generally include some short races. Although all of the Lymington training is organised by sailors' parents,
and the coaching is generally from parents, the Flotilla does from time to time use other sailing coaches from outside the Flotilla. There is usually a charge for these coached sessions.
