The Intermediate Squad

Of the 32 sailors in the IOCA Intermediate Squad 2006/7 5 were from the Lymington Optimist Flotilla. You can see all the Lymington Intermediate Squad in the Members Area. These sailors have worked extremely hard to earn a place in the National Squad and will train throughout the year. They attend six weekend training sessions over the winter months.

 

         

Selection Criteria for the Intermediate Squad

 

 

Parents Needed

Although parents do not always have to stay at the Club while their children are sailing, all parents will find themselves on duty every third week or so. According to qualifications and skills, parents are on the rota as JSOOD, coach, safety boat driver and safety boat crew. Please check the rota to see when you are on duty and remember swaps can only be made with another suitably qualified parent.
